Li Yu graduated from the Sculpture Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 2020 and she is currently in her second year of postgraduate studies in sculpture at the Slade School of Art, University of London. Her work uses sculpture, performance, concrete poetry and sound installations as mediums. Li Yu’s current research focuses on the rules within linguistics to critique and reflect on the boundaries of expression and thought, as well as, the formation of common knowledge. Her work has been exhibited in various group exhibitions including Taoxichuan Art Museum, Central Academy of Fine Arts (Jingdezhen, 2019), Christie's Lates (London, 2023) and Guardian Art Centre-2022 "Art Nova 100" (Beijing, 2023.04).
